Bears

Bears are Third Graders, and marks the last year they’ll wear the Blue shirt, as well as the start of a lot more independence. During the year, Bears will learn how to use a pocketknife safely, and earn the right to have on on a campout. They’ll be camping, cooking, maybe some fishing – getting to know they outdoors and their place in it.

Bears wear the Blue Cub Scout shirt and navy pants, along with a ‘Class B’ t-shirt the pack will be making early in the year.

While they will be getting more independent, parents are a big part of ensuring their success, in participating in campouts, helping with skills training(pocketknives, hammers, and saws need a lot of supervision!), and most importantly, providing an example of service and community to kids who are building their future self.
